Koch Brothers Exposed is a hard-hitting investigation of the 1% at its very worst. This full-length documentary film on Charles and David Koch—two of the world_s richest and most powerful men—is the latest from acclaimed director Robert Greenwald (Wal-Mart: the High Cost of Low Price, Outfoxed, Rethink Afghanistan). The billionaire brothers bankroll a vast network of organizations that work to undermine the interests of the 99% on issues ranging from Social Security to the environment to civil rights. This film uncovers the Kochs_ corruption—and points the way to how Americans can reclaim their democracy. What can you do to fight back? Get the film. Host a screening. Tell your friends. Get the Koch brothers out of the shadows and into the spotlight. 10 Shocking Facts on the Kochs 1. Koch Industries, which the brothers own, is one of the top ten polluters in the United States -- which perhaps explains why the Kochs have given $60 million to climate denial groups between 1997 and 2010. 2. The Kochs are the oil and gas industry_s biggest donors to the congressional committee with oversight of the hazardous Keystone XL oil pipeline. They and their employees gave more than $300,000 to members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee in 2010 alone. 3. From 1998-2008, Koch-controlled foundations gave more than $196 million to organizations that favor polices that would financially enrich the two brothers. In addition, Koch Industries spent $50 million on lobbying and some $8 million in PAC contributions. 4. The Koch fortune has its origins in engineering contracts with Joseph Stalin_s Soviet Union. 5. The Kochs are suing to take over the Cato Institute, which has accused the Kochs of attempting to destroy the group_s identity as an independent, libertarian think and align it more closely with a partisan agenda. 6. A Huffington Post source who was at a three-day retreat of conservative billionaires said the Koch brothers pledged to donate $60 million to defeat President Obama in 2012 and produce pledges of $40 million more from others at the retreat. 7. Since 2000, the Kochs have collected almost $100 million in government contracts, mostly from the Department of Defense. 8. Koch Industries has an annual production capacity of 2.2 billion pounds of the carcinogen formaldehyde. The company has worked to keep it from being classified as a carcinogen even though David Koch is a prostate cancer survivor. 9. The Koch brothers_ combined fortune of roughly $50 billion is exceeded only by that of Bill Gates in the United States. 10. The Senate Select Committee on Indian Affairs accused Koch Oil of scheming to steal $31 million of crude oil from Native Americans. Although the company claimed it was accidental, a former executive in this operation said Charles Koch had known about it and had responded to the overages by saying, I want my fair share, and that_s all of it.

Recited by Sheikh Ahmed ibn Ali Al-Ajmi. What chapter(s) and verses are included in Juz 3?: The third juz of the Quran starts from verse 253 of the second chapter (Al Baqarah:253) and continues to verse 92 of the third chapter (Al Imran:92). When were the verses of this juz revealed?: The verses of this section were largely revealed in the early years after the migration to Madinah, as the Muslim community was setting up its first social and political center. Select Quotations: The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of God is that of a grain of corn: It grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. God gives manifold increase to whom He pleases, and God cares for all and knows all things. 2:261 Behold! The angels said, Oh Mary! God gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him. His name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and of the company of those nearest to God. 3:45 What is the main theme of this juz?: Within the first few verses of this section is the famous Verse of the Throne (Ayat al-Kursi, 2:255). This verse is often memorized by Muslims, is seen adorning Muslim homes in calligraphy, and brings comfort to many. It offers a beautiful and concise description of Gods nature and attributes. The remainder of Surah Al-Bakarah reminds believers that there is to be no compulsion in matters of religion. Parables are told of people who questioned Gods existence or were arrogant about their own importance on earth. Long passages are devoted to the subject of charity and generosity, calling people to humility and justice. It is here that usury/interest transactions are condemned, and guidelines for business transactions given. This longest chapter of the Quran ends with reminders about personal responsibility that everyone is responsible for themselves in matters of faith. The third chapter of the Quran (Al Imran) then begins. This chapter is named for the family of Imran (the father of Mary, mother of Jesus). The chapter begins with the claim that this Quran confirms the messages of previous prophets and messengers of God it is not a new religion. One is reminded of the strict punishment facing unbelievers in the Hereafter, and the People of the Book (i.e. Jews and Christians) are called upon to recognize the truth that this revelation is a confirmation of what came before to their own prophets. In verse 3:33, the story of the family of Imran begins telling the story of Zakariya, John the Baptist, Mary, and the birth of her son, Jesus Christ. In the Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful, May Allah send His peace and blessings upon the most beloved of Messengers, Muhammad (SAW). LYRICS: ------------ Have we forgotten the purpose of our lives? Sometimes we think we exist just to have a good time. So we indulge in satisfying our lusts and desires, Even if means becoming hypocrites, thieves and liars We forget the sole reason Allah created our souls. It is to worship Him alone, until they bury our bones Never faltering, never shifting, away from our Iman, Remaining true to Allah as best as we can. But beyond this belief in our hearts come our actions Balancing obedience to Allah and appeasing satisfactions What is a Muslim who forgets the commands of His religion? One who is blinded by Dunya, and lost all vision? Have we forgotten that we have one of two destinations? Hell is for the transgressors, and Jannah is for the patient. In this test we can enjoy ourselves, and be pleased with our lives, But the reason we live is to worship Allah, and this will not change until we die. In the sorrow and regret of the most horrific of days, We would wish to return to Dunya, only to change our ways. A Day on which we would beg Allah on our hands and our knees, Return us to this Dunya! So we can salvage our Deeds! But Nay! You have had your chances and received your warnings! But remember when you slept during the early mornings?! When you neglected Fajr, and did not keep up with your Salah? You were cheap and you were greedy, and did not pay your Zakah! You indulged in the obsession of this Dunya with the sinners, And prevented your own self the company of the winners. Who might they be, if you ask as you listen? The winners are those who answered their Lord in submission. They obeyed Allah and realized life is mission: To submit to the One who created you from clay, and to fear the most horrifying, detrimental of days These winners are the ones who enjoined in the worship of their Lord: They kept their covenant with Allah, not breaking one word. Prayer by prayer, Day by Day, Holding firmly to the Quraan, while following the Prophet s way. The best of the Muslims receive Jannah is delight. Because they fasted through the day and prayed Tahajjud through the night. They fulfilled the necessary obligations and did more, They kept their loyalty to the One who they lived and died for. Let us all reflect, as to how we may be viewed by the Sublime. Are we of the hypocrites who do not even pray on time? Of the losers who worship every nickel and dime? Of the animals who do not treat fellow Muslims with respect? Of the enemies of Allah whose commands we neglect? Are we the sinners whose own lives we will regret? Or have we devoted ourselves to pursuing Paradise? Of the Muslims whose actions are intelligent and wise? Of the noble who tell only truth with no lies? Of the pious who pray every prayer on time? Let us Never forget our aim for Paradise, We must worship Allah, through all of the sacrifice. For those who fall short, Jahannam is their destination. Allahs Judgement is most Supreme, and His is the best of legislation. So Ya Allah! We beg of you to guide us the straight path! And we seek refuge with Your mercy from the torment of Your wrath! Ya RABB! Grant us patience and let us die in submission! Let us realize and succeed in the struggles of lifes mission! We are for You and to You we return, So grant us refuge from Hellfire s burn! Grant us the peak of Jannah with the Prophets, martyrs and righteous, For none exceeds You in Your generocity, O Lord of Kindness! And send Your peace and blessings upon he who You have sent to guide us, To make us of the pious, and bring us out of the blindness All praise is due to You, Lord of the Heavens, the Earth, and all that is between. Master of the Universe, All-Knower of the Unseen.

Although Islam is generally thought of as being a recent arrival in the United Kingdom, there has been contact between Britons and Muslims for many centuries. An early example would be the decision of Offa, the eighth-century King of Mercia (one of the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms existing at that time), to have coins minted with an Islamic inscription on them - copies of coins issued by the near-contemporary Muslim ruler Al-Mansur. It is thought that they were minted to facilitate trade with the expanding Islamic empire in Spain. The first large group of Muslims in Britain arrived about 300 years ago. They were sailors recruited in India to work for the East India Company, and so it's not surprising that the first Muslim communities were found in port towns. Ships cooks came too, many of them from Sylhet in what is now Bangladesh. There are records of Sylhetis working in London restaurants as early as 1873. The first Muslim community which permanently settled in the United Kingdom consisted of Yemeni sailors who arrived in ports such as Swansea, Liverpool and South Shields shortly after 1900. Later some of them migrated to inland cities like Birmingham and Sheffield where there are 23,819 Muslims. Mosques also appeared in British seaports at this time; the first mosque in Britain is recorded as having been at 2 Glyn Rhondda Street, Cardiff, in 1860[6]. From the 1950s, with large immigration to Britain from the former colonies of Britain, especially the Indian subcontinent and East Africa, large Muslim populations developed in many British towns and cities. In England 40% of Muslims live in London, where they make up 8.5% of the population. There are also large numbers of Muslims in Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford, Luton, Slough, Leicester and the mill towns of Northern England. In Scotland there are significant Muslim populations in Glasgow (17667, 3.1%), East Renfrewshire (1897, 2.1%), Dundee (2846, 2.0%) and Edinburgh (6801, 1.5%). In Wales most Muslims live in Cardiff (11261, 3,7%), but there are also significant numbers in Newport (3492, 2.6%) and Swansea (2167, 1.0%). Muslims are concentrated in urban areas, where they make up 3.3% of the population; In rural areas the proportion of the population is less than 0.1%.
