Koch Brothers Exposed is a hard-hitting investigation of the 1% at its very worst. This full-length documentary film on Charles and David Koch—two of the world_s richest and most powerful men—is the latest from acclaimed director Robert Greenwald (Wal-Mart: the High Cost of Low Price, Outfoxed, Rethink Afghanistan). The billionaire brothers bankroll a vast network of organizations that work to undermine the interests of the 99% on issues ranging from Social Security to the environment to civil rights. This film uncovers the Kochs_ corruption—and points the way to how Americans can reclaim their democracy. What can you do to fight back? Get the film. Host a screening. Tell your friends. Get the Koch brothers out of the shadows and into the spotlight. 10 Shocking Facts on the Kochs 1. Koch Industries, which the brothers own, is one of the top ten polluters in the United States -- which perhaps explains why the Kochs have given $60 million to climate denial groups between 1997 and 2010. 2. The Kochs are the oil and gas industry_s biggest donors to the congressional committee with oversight of the hazardous Keystone XL oil pipeline. They and their employees gave more than $300,000 to members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee in 2010 alone. 3. From 1998-2008, Koch-controlled foundations gave more than $196 million to organizations that favor polices that would financially enrich the two brothers. In addition, Koch Industries spent $50 million on lobbying and some $8 million in PAC contributions. 4. The Koch fortune has its origins in engineering contracts with Joseph Stalin_s Soviet Union. 5. The Kochs are suing to take over the Cato Institute, which has accused the Kochs of attempting to destroy the group_s identity as an independent, libertarian think and align it more closely with a partisan agenda. 6. A Huffington Post source who was at a three-day retreat of conservative billionaires said the Koch brothers pledged to donate $60 million to defeat President Obama in 2012 and produce pledges of $40 million more from others at the retreat. 7. Since 2000, the Kochs have collected almost $100 million in government contracts, mostly from the Department of Defense. 8. Koch Industries has an annual production capacity of 2.2 billion pounds of the carcinogen formaldehyde. The company has worked to keep it from being classified as a carcinogen even though David Koch is a prostate cancer survivor. 9. The Koch brothers_ combined fortune of roughly $50 billion is exceeded only by that of Bill Gates in the United States. 10. The Senate Select Committee on Indian Affairs accused Koch Oil of scheming to steal $31 million of crude oil from Native Americans. Although the company claimed it was accidental, a former executive in this operation said Charles Koch had known about it and had responded to the overages by saying, I want my fair share, and that_s all of it.

Two civilians and a police officer have died after a wave of unusually large anti-government demonstrations swept across Egypt, calling for the ouster of longtime president Hosni Mubarak.
In central Cairo, crowds numbering in the thousands protested and clashed with police throughout the day. Shortly after midnight on Wednesday morning, security forces violently dispersed those who remained in Tahrir Square, the heart of the city, Al Jazeera_s Adam Makary reported.
Security officers fired tear gas, water cannons and rubber bullets to drive the protesters from the square, where they had chosen to remain throughout the night in protest. An Al Jazeera cameraman was shot with rubber bullets several times, including once in the face, Makary said.
Telephone communication with people in central Cairo was nearly impossible, but Makary reported that the crowds, which had been peaceful, had been forced to escape the police, who fired dozens of tear gas canisters.
But demonstrations occurred throughout Egypt.
Two civilians died in the eastern city of Suez, according to an interior ministry official. One, who had respiratory problems, died after inhaling tear gas; the other died after being hit with a rock thrown during a protest, the official said.
In Cairo, a police officer died after being hit in the head with a rock during earlier protests in Tahrir Square, the official said.
The demonstrations were reportedly the largest in years, rivaling those held against the Iraq War in 2003 and in favor of free elections and civil society reforms in 2005.
On Tuesday night, hours after the countrywide protests began, the interior ministry issued a statement blaming the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt_s technically banned but largest opposition party, for fomenting the unrest.
But the Brotherhood denied the accusation and had earlier stated its intention to stay out of the protest; indeed, some observers noted the lack of Brotherhood mobilization on Tuesday.

Video Description
The torture and slaughter of Iraqi Muslims is reaching unprecedented heights with estimates of up to 655,000 dead. Night after night Shia death squads rampage through Iraq/s main cities. In Baghdad, up to a hundred bodies a day are dumped on the streets. Often they have been tortured with electric drills. Yet those doing the killing have little to do with al Qaeda or Sunni insurgents. The majority of the killings are carried out by Shia death squads who want to turn Iraq into a Shia state aligned to Iran. This shocking film investigates the links between the death squads and high-ranking Shia politicians. It reveals how the Shia militia that these politicians control have systematically infiltrated and taken over police units and even entire government ministries. It investigates how these units are closely linked to the death squads, indeed they often are the death squads. And the killers act with impunity -- there\\s little investigation into their activities.

Refute the lair investigateislam. [051:049] And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. God doesnt say in the quran we created everything male and female as this monkey claimed . He said(we have created pairs). Creating in pairs doesnt mean each living being has another one to have sex with and reproduce. rather creating things in pairs means heaven-hell, life-death, heavens-earth, belief-disbelief, asexual-sexual, man-woman, happy-sad, etc etc So This verse refers to things other than humans, animals, plants and fruits. It may also be referring to a phenomenon like electricity in which the atoms consist of negatively — and positively — charged electrons and protons. yes that means he create humans in pair (man & woman) , in animal and, in creatures which have only one sex .. (the male organs and female organs in the same body),also the verse states that he creates many things we dont know in pairs (we have +charge and -charge in electricity....N-pole and S-pole in magnetic, example every particle of hydrogen has an anti hydrogen for it....etc)

Recited by Sheikh Ahmed ibn Ali Al-Ajmi. What chapter(s) and verses are included in Juz 4?: The fourth juz of the Quran starts from verse 93 of the third chapter (Al Imran 93) and continues to verse 23 of the fourth chapter (An Nisaa 23). When were the verses of this juz revealed?: The verses of this section were largely revealed in the early years after the migration to Madinah, as the Muslim community was setting up its first social and political center. Much of this section relates directly to the defeat of Muslim community at the Battle of Uhud in the third year after the migration. Select Quotations: And hold fast, together, by the Rope which Allah stretches out for you, and be not divided among yourselves. And remember with gratitude favor of Allah on you. For you were enemies, and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, you became brethren. And you were on the brink of the Pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make His Signs clear to you, that you may be guided. 3:103 O you who believe! Persevere with patience and constancy. Vie in such perseverance. Strengthen each other, and fear Allah, that you may prosper. 3:200 What is the main theme of this juz?: The mid-portion of Surah Al-Imran discusses the relationship between Muslims and the People of the Book (i.e. Christians and Jews). The Quran points out similarities between those who follow the religion of Abraham, and repeats several times that while some People of the Book are righteous, there are many who have gone astray. Muslims are urged to stand together for righteousness, repel evil, and hold together in unity. The remainder of Surah Al-Imran points out lessons to be learned from the Battle of Uhud, which was an extremely disappointing loss to the Muslim community. During this battle, Allah tested the believers and it became clear who was selfish or cowardly, and who was patient and disciplined. Believers are urged to seek forgiveness for their weaknesses, and not to lose heart or despair. Death is a reality, and every soul will be taken at its appointed time. One should not fear death, and those who died in battle have mercy and forgiveness from Allah. The chapter ends with reassurances that victory is found through strength of Allah, and that the enemies of Allah will not prevail. The fourth chapter of the Quran (An Nisaa) then begins. The tittle of this chapter means Women, as it deals with many issues regarding women, family life, marriage, and divorce. Chronologically, the chapter also falls shortly after the Muslims defeat at the Battle of Uhud. So this first part of the chapter largely deals with practical issues resulting from that defeat -- how to care for orphans and widows from the battle, and how to divide the inheritance of those who had died. Recited by Sheikh Ahmed ibn Ali Al-Ajmi. What chapter(s) and verses are included in Juz 3?: The third juz of the Quran starts from verse 253 of the second chapter (Al Baqarah:253) and continues to verse 92 of the third chapter (Al Imran:92). When were the verses of this juz revealed?: The verses of this section were largely revealed in the early years after the migration to Madinah, as the Muslim community was setting up its first social and political center. Select Quotations: The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of God is that of a grain of corn: It grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. God gives manifold increase to whom He pleases, and God cares for all and knows all things. 2:261 Behold! The angels said, Oh Mary! God gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him. His name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and of the company of those nearest to God. 3:45 What is the main theme of this juz?: Within the first few verses of this section is the famous Verse of the Throne (Ayat al-Kursi, 2:255). This verse is often memorized by Muslims, is seen adorning Muslim homes in calligraphy, and brings comfort to many. It offers a beautiful and concise description of Gods nature and attributes. The remainder of Surah Al-Bakarah reminds believers that there is to be no compulsion in matters of religion. Parables are told of people who questioned Gods existence or were arrogant about their own importance on earth. Long passages are devoted to the subject of charity and generosity, calling people to humility and justice. It is here that usury/interest transactions are condemned, and guidelines for business transactions given. This longest chapter of the Quran ends with reminders about personal responsibility that everyone is responsible for themselves in matters of faith. The third chapter of the Quran (Al Imran) then begins. This chapter is named for the family of Imran (the father of Mary, mother of Jesus). The chapter begins with the claim that this Quran confirms the messages of previous prophets and messengers of God it is not a new religion. One is reminded of the strict punishment facing unbelievers in the Hereafter, and the People of the Book (i.e. Jews and Christians) are called upon to recognize the truth that this revelation is a confirmation of what came before to their own prophets. In verse 3:33, the story of the family of Imran begins telling the story of Zakariya, John the Baptist, Mary, and the birth of her son, Jesus Christ. Recited by Sheikh Ahmed ibn Ali Al-Ajmi. What chapter(s) and verses are included in Juz 2?: The second juz of the Quran starts from verse 142 of the second chapter (Al Baqarah 142) and continues to verse 252 of the same chapter (Al Baqarah 252). When were the verses of this juz revealed?: The verses of this section were largely revealed in the early years after the migration to Madinah, as the Muslim community was setting up its first social and political center. Select Quotation: When My servants ask you concerning Me I am indeed close to them. I respond to the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on Me. Let them also, with a will, listen to My call, and believe in Me, that they may walk in the right way. 2:186 What is the main theme of this juz?: This section gives reminders of faith as well as practical guidance in running the newly-established Islamic community. It starts by indicating the Kaaba in Mecca as the center of Islamic worship and symbol of Muslim unity (Muslims had previously been praying while facing towards Jerusalem). Following reminders of faith and characteristics of believers, the section gives detailed, practical advice on several social matters. Food and drink, criminal law, wills/inheritance, fasting Ramadan, Hajj (pilgrimage), treatment of orphans and widows, and divorce are all touched upon. The section ends with a discussion of jihad and what in entails. The focus is on the defensive preservation of the new Islamic community against outside aggression. Stories are told of Saul, Samuel, David and Goliath to remind believers that no matter what the numbers look like, and no matter how aggressive the enemy, one must be brave and fight back to preserve ones existence and way of life. Recited by Sheikh Ahmed ibn Ali Al-Ajmi. What chapter(s) and verses are included in Juz 1?: The first juz of the Quran starts from the first verse of the first chapter (Al-Fatiha 1) and continues part-way through the second chapter (Al Baqarah 141). When were the verses of this juz revealed?: The first chapter, consisting of eight verses, is a summary of faith that was revealed in Mecca before the migration to Madinah. Most of the verses of the second chapter were revealed in the early years after the migration to Madinah, as the Muslim community was setting up its first social and political center. Select Quotations: Seek Gods help with patient perseverance and prayer. It is indeed hard, except to those who are humble -- who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord, and that they are to return to Him. 2:45-46 Say: We believe in God, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to all prophets from their Lord. We make no difference between one and another of them, and we submit to God. 2:136 What is the main theme of this juz?: The first chapter is called The Opening (Al Fatihah). It consists of eight verses and is often referred to as the Lords Prayer of Islam. The chapter in its entirety is repeatedly recited during a Muslims daily prayers, as it sums up the relationship between humans and God in worship. We begin by praising God, and seeking His guidance in all matters of our lives. The Quran then continues with the longest chapter of the revelation, The Cow (Al Baqarah). The title of the chapter refers to a story told in this section (beginning at verse 67) about the followers of Moses. The early part of this section lays out the situation of humankind in relation to God. God sends guidance and messengers, and people choose how they will respond: they will either believe, they will reject faith altogether, or they will become hypocrites (feigning belief on the outside while harbouring doubts or evil intentions on the inside). The story of the creation of humans is told (one of many places where it is referred to) to remind us about the many bounties and blessings of God. Then stories are begun about previous peoples and how they responded to Gods guidance and messengers. Particular reference is made to the Prophets Abraham, Moses and Jesus, and the struggles they undertook to bring guidance to their people. For Explanation (Commentary) please visit: www.tafsir.com.
