Every day on their way home from school, several Palestinian children walk on a path that runs directly below where the settler kids were stoning. On this day the Palestinian children are waiting for a soldier to move the barbed wire that permanently blocks their path home.
A searing interview with Avichai Sharon and Noam Chayut, both veterans of the Israeli Defense Forces and members of Breaking the Silence. Sharon and Chayut served during the second intifada, an on-going bloodbath that has claimed the lives of over three thousand Palestinians and nine-hundred-fifty Israelis. 1001 Inventions Now Open at Thinktank
On Thursday 24 May, Birmingham City Councillor Alan Rudge, Cabinet Member for Equalities and Human Resources, and Dr. Nick Winterbotham, Chief Executive of Thinktank and Millennium Point welcomed local community leaders, VIPs and council officials to Thinktank, Birmingham science museum for the launch of 1001 Inventions, a groundbreaking exhibition uncovering the lost history of Muslim contributions to science and invention. The exhibition will run until Sunday 2 September 2007.
Part two of this documentary looks at the Nation of Islam\'s relationship in Pittsburgh, including frequent visits by Malcolm X, and the nation\'s evolution toward a more traditional Islam.
Finally, the film moves to the 70\'s and early 80\'s, when immigrant Muslims began to intermingle with indigenous Muslims and form their own communities. Also, time is spent to look at Muslims\' current situation in Pittsburgh and search for solutions to improve the Muslim community.
